Top 10 things to do in Santiago de Chile

Dive into real Chilean Music and visit a cumbia concert, most times taking place in Barrio Brasil. Visiting those
concerts is a different experience, with shows full of energy, where you will follow the rhythm and dance… Chico Trujillo is probably
the most famous band of this kind in Chile. Another band is Conmoción,
they are famous for their masks on stage, gipsy style and their crazy show.

the Andes into all kind of different colours. To get there either take the Funicular or walk up (enter from Bellavista, follow the main road,
after about 400m there is a path leading up to your right. (approx. 45 min.)

AT DAY

Visiting the market is a colourful activity. Selling pretty much everything in “La Vega”, for many Europeans it is impressive to
see the diversity of fruits and vegetables . Having lunch can also be a way to get to know the local eating culture, and it is quite
cheap, but don’t expect it to be too luxurious. Metro: Cal y Canto.

A city like Santiago in summer can be quite stressful. What could be better than relaxing on a sunny day in a pool. On top of Cerro San
Cristobal are two public swimming pools. The one on top, being more exclusive also has higher entrance costs, but it pays off once you are in
the pool having a look on the Andes. http://www.parquemet.cl/index.php?cat_id=42

Take a stroll through Lastarria and Bellas Artes. With its many cafés and older architecture it moderates an European
atmosphere. Nice for some relaxing hours. Metro: Universidad Catolica, Bellas Artes.

Santa Lucía is an old castle, which is a nice area to stroll around, with a little park, and you have a nice view on Santiago and the Andes.
